SHAVER LAKE.
We celebrated my friend James birthday at Shaver Lake, CA. Stayed in a really nice cabin Air BNB and as much as I wanna say how much I would’ve loved to camp it.. The cabin was a much better option because it is FREEZING up there especially for us city folk. We went on hikes during the day and one during the night so I could capture the beauty of a tail-end of the lake in long exposure.
Shooting long exposure
As we hiked through the night into an area we probably most-likely were not allowed to be in, we crept up to the perfect vantage point. I was able to set up my tripod that I brought with me in my Thule Covert backpack(which I LOVE). I set my cameras exposure to about 100 ISO, 25s and f2.8 and just let her rip. The only downfall to this was that it was freezing we couldn’t stay very long, just unbearable. Once again, city folk haha. I shoot almost everything in black and white RAW to evaluate light better imo, so now I’m in a huge battle of deciding whether I like BW or color. I am going to post a couple of images here so you guys can enjoy, please don’t hesitate to ask me any questions or concerns.
